In 2016, Dela Funeral Transport tested S-CAPEPLUS evacuation mattress to transfer a deceased on a steep, winding staircase. This was a situation in which a stretcher would have proved impossible to use. It was quickly discovered that the evacuation mattress wasn’t suitable for deathcare removals. This experience inspired us to find a solution. The goal was to develop a reliable removal device that reduces physical stress for yourself and your employees. In addition, we wanted to be able to move the deceased in a humane way. The evacuation mattress was redesigned. And the Bodypod was born. We’re now on a mission:
